Bed Seats?

Hey guys,

I want to ad a bench for seating in the back of my Ranger.

Anyone have any plans, or any pictures of ones you built?
Just looking to make a bench out of wood and secure it to the bed.
Then add a lap belt.

That has got to be the ugliest thing I've seen in awhile.
I'm looking more for like a bench instead of seats/chairs.

Thanks for the help though.

if its bolted down and has seat belts i dont see why not, the law (in ontario at least) is number of passengers per number of seatbelts on the vehicle

Not allowed in DE. No one rides in the back of a truck, not even with a cap.

i wish i had pictures of this

but when i was in the boy scouts one of the guys dads did the research and apparently if you have a car seat bolted to the bed of the truck, with seatbelts, its legal to ride back there (or at least was at the time)

so he had the backseat out of a blazer bolted in the back of a 94 f150 xl std cab WITH LUMBER RACK .... the funniest part is whenever you seen him driving around in the rain the seat had a tarp over it.

And yes, we all used to fight over who got to ride in the back cause we thought it was the coolest thing ever.

the law in oregon anyways is that as long at all the seats are occupied in the cab people can ride in the bed as long as their *** is on the floor of the bed.
but i bet you could get away by just buying someones used bench seat like out of a minivan or something and just bolt that down and add the lap belts that went along with it. I see them for sale/free on CL all the time around here.
