custom grill idea

got an idea for a grill using a 2000 ML 320 grill. Here are a couple simple edits using windows paint. Sorry, no photoshop or other editing software.

or this with a Ford emblem in the middle

I have a white 2000 ranger, but I'm swapping the front for a 2003 grill and lights. Figured while I was at it, I would see if I could customize the grill. I used a picture of someone else's truck since I want to do the projector headlights as well.

You want to make your Ranger into a Benz?

Darn it. I posted the same photo twice. Now look at the second picture. I plan to put the Ford emblem in the middle of the ring

I'm still not sold. Take the big circle out of the middle and it might look okay, but you have to do it right. You can't just hack up some MB grille and make it fit a Ranger.

Oh, and don't do those "projector" headlights. I had a set in my younger and dumber years. They're a total waste of money.

Yeah, I couldn't find a good front picture, so that one was as close as I could find. I was thinking of these

Now you're on the right track lol. You can modify your existing headlights to look like that if you feel confident enough to put your headlights in an oven and split them with a screwdriver. There's a how to around here somewhere. It's called the headlight mod.

It has potential. I'll give it that. One of the biggest hurdles would be getting it mounted into the panel the original grille snaps into. That and getting rid of the star in favor of the blue badge.

Unless you're a master with plastic, plastic epoxy and fiberglass I believe would be the best way to attach the mercedes grill to the Ranger headlight/grille trim.
