Are projectors real good lights? Umm.... you can't say that.. Projectors are just a different type of light housing. It's GREAT for H.I.D's, because they do not produce a HUGE glare for other drivers. But if you were gonna run normal lightbulbs.. (halogen), i don't see a difference.

Yeah I agree with the above... There just for looks. And I think they do look a ton better than the opaque lenses that come stock.

well if it says not to use HIDs then i wouldnt . . . they prolly run too hot and would melt the housing around it.

HID don't run hot, they're cooler than halogens. (35 watts) They said no H.I.Ds because they are ILLEGAL. (aftermarket, that is)

Lol, it will be ok to do it until a smart cop gives you a ticket for running them(which would probably never happen, but its still against the law)

The chrome of the two looks better. Just run regular bulbs, don't worry about HID's.

If that black wasn't as flat and had a gloss to it then it would be my choice, but the chrome is sweet. HID's are a must. And isn't there universal HID's for trucks like my 2001?

I've been looking at new headlamps because my stockers are getting more cloudy, but I can't stomach the $300+ price for the projection units from APC and I'm not sold on the diamond reflector type either.

go to your local auto store and buy Plastx from Meguirs(sp?), it takes the oxidation off of plastic and fiberglass, it was $6 for a bottle, i used it on my friends civic and her driver light was yellow and it took 90% of it off and it looks 20x better, i used it on my headlights and it took most of the yellow off, i mean it dosent make them look brand new but close enough
