Color-matched headlight mod
4 Attachment(s)
We've all seen this mod done only in black, silver, or grey. I decided to color match my headlights to my truck...here are the results
Attachment 214147 with black Attachment 214148 with red Attachment 214149 Attachment 214150 I think it's pretty sexy... |
Lookin' good Hollywood! I need to do that mod badly.
justin that looks sweeet!! I think I might try it. What temp and baking time did you use to get your headlight lenses apart?
... of course silver wouldnt be as dramatic as your red mod... |
Looks good! You're grill lights are like, off-centered, though. When I had my truck, I had all plans in the world to paint mine Sonic Blue -- but I sold her before I did.
Looks alot better than I thought, now send your corners to Jared to paint them red too:)
looks nice i like it
I didn't do it. i'm in school and i work so i don't really have time to mess around with my truck as i would like. Mr. Jusnes (soundper4ormance) told me to let TigerF18 (aol sn) do it so i sent them to him and he had them back in less than a week...$40 is all he charged me to get it done and he did an awsome job!!
My grill lights are off because there's that radiator thing right behind the left one that pushes it up :). the right one points down at the ground...when i cut them on it's pretty much even look...the left one points up in the air to cover that and the right one covers the ground...so when people flash me they get theirs just as bad |
Good ole Tiger, I need a another set of headlights and then I would send him my headlights:)
I am getting convinced to go buy some paint. That looks nice. No, that looks great! I could do side mirrors, radio bezel, and headlights. Get full use out of the paint.
hell yeah justin looks awsome..i did color match mine...BLACK lol
WOW J, that looks KILLER. I want to do that when I get my truck painted...
Brenton |

looks awesome man. did resealing them help with that condensation on the inside too?? get your clear corners painted to match too! bd
actually i do have condensation in there now since it's pouring out...how do i get rid of that? It looks bad when there's condensation in there

looking damn good!!
do basically what zach said.. i had it in my tail lights when i first put them in.. i was lazy and never did anything about it... they somehow fixxed themselves, and have no more condensation. that's not telling you much, lol, but i felt like i could add a related experience to the post.

Lookin sweet. I like the idea to paint them red, really stands out.

I think imma do that...i'll pick up some silicon from Autozone and reseal around the edges tomorrow.... |
but remeber you have to get the condensation out also other wise it will never stop
Looks awesome.
WOW, that looks sweet, Good Job!
When I got condensation on the first try I threw them back in the oven on low heat to evaporate the condensation, then I ran a big thick bead of clear RTV around the outside of the seam. No condensation since.

omg, Justin - that is so hot! Now I'm 100% jealous of your truck!! Make mine look nice, too!! :) Seriously, though, I'm with Ryan - if I had another set of headlights, I'd send one pair off for painting...
