^93 ranger lower valance with fogs^

its going on my lifted explorer, but do you think its more of a street truck thing, or could you see a offroad explorer with one?

gatorblue92 07-11-2006 10:06 PM

i think it looks really good on lifted or lowered trucks

loranger 07-14-2006 12:17 PM

Yeah considering it is a 4x4 valance. I think it looks good on either, but Im a little biased.

Hitting some deep water with that thing might be a problem. I feel like I push a lot of water when I go through some deep stuff. Could that be from a valance, maybe just something to think about.

I think it looks awesome on that EX and prolly would on yours as well.

Trigger01 07-14-2006 06:26 PM

I usually would think of it on a street truck, but would look good on either, I would just worry about ripping it off when off-roading.

Have to agree with Trigger01; using that valance on a trail vehicle will only put the lights and the valance in harms way....
I have witnessed numerous 97+ Jeep Cherokees damage or even crush the factory foglights or their valance on the trail when they come in contact with rocks or trees.
Safer and less expensive in the long run to put offroad lights up above the bumper.

OR 4x4

well itll be around 25" above the ground, that seems like penty of room

what size lights fit in those valances?

loranger 07-18-2006 12:17 AM

I think its like 4 1/2 or 5". I cant remember. I will measure mine in the morning if you want.

shadow905 07-22-2006 06:48 PM

it should look good on there... i personally dont really like those valances but thats my opinion. but they look the same on lifted or lowered. its a matter of preference
