Ford 300 swap?

So my drive shaft twisted on my 82 f150 and it's just now sitting there, the motor is at 1.21 million miles and I live the motor, been in the family and still does all my towing and such, would I be able to drop this into the ranger and mod the radiator position to be next to the steering shaft, have plastic 3d printed or folded etc... How the motor was rebuilt about 20k ago and runs like new, would it mount to the M5odr2?

The 300 straight 6 is 37" from fan to flywheel , going to be almost impossible to get that to fit even without radiator, and close the hood, body lift for sure, lol

Probably need to make a cross brace for motor mount on one side

Yes the later models, 1990-1997 F-series did use the M5R2 with the windsor V8, 302(5.0l) which is same bolt pattern as 300(4.9l), but it will have the shifter farther forward so it comes up under the dash, but you can make a custom bent shift arm to make it work
The 1997-2003 M5R2 from the 4.2l V6 would have shifter in same place as current Ranger shifter, and would fit the on the 300

I meant move the radiator setup somewhere in the line of where my exhuast and intake aren't, and use an E fan or two, I the ranger I want is already lifted and deck clearence and length aren't the issue, 4.2 v6 huh, I have one of those but 2002, we basically have a yard with all kinds of trucks we bought, are there any ways to gaurentees it's the 4.2 m5rd2

My M5ODr1 ranger tranny finnaly gave up on both throw and input bearings Wich sucks because I just dropped that new duratec 2.3 in

Ford 302(5.0l) V8, 4.2l Essex V6 and the 300(4.9l) I6 all used the same bellhousing pattern

Seen here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o...using_patterns
