I need your ideas!

So I've got some time for my truck now, taking it easy on the big rig driving as I've got my holiday bills caught up. I've got a lil list of thigns I wanna do now that the truck is back in the stable instead of at the stealership. Here's what I'm def doing so far.

Hooking up my tri-switch panel(din spacer plate)
-A/C Cut-off
-ABS Disable
-Back up lights - Getting rid of that ghey toggle

Fill in the hole where the toggle is on the bezel and paint it black to match the rest of the interior.

Adjust the coils to add some more front fender clearance.

102" Whip. Yeah it's tacky but I love it. <3

Snorkle Snorkle Snorkle

Not much but just some essentials I've been dying to take care of. Here's where you guys come in. What does this truck need? No street queen alterations please =] Thanks but no thanks. Looking for function but if the form looks cool then so be it. I'm open to anything, I promise I won't flame ya =]

Officer Friendly also advised me that it'd be "in my best interests" to install mudflaps. ugh

Here's some pics of what I'm working with here/talking about. Sorry about the lack of picture selection. I've got more pics than the amount of times I've driven my truck, lol. The bumper is straight now btw, that last pic was a bumepr mod comparison of each side.

The rear is jacked as it is! I'd def be interested in the chebby swap after some new front coils.

Sway bar is gone currently. Quick d/c's would be awesome though! I'm just short on time and frankly a bit lazy to build some myself.

edit:

I wanna do something about my exhaust too. Alot of ppl say they like it but those tips just don't rub me the right way. I wanna do a different tip set-up or just dump them on dual down turns.

I kinda wanna Line-X the body line. Sort of like my last truck only an even line the whole way around and actually have Line-X do it for the guarantee.

Any idea where I can get a set of RCD traction bars? Those brackets are bugging me too.

Well this is all RCD has on traction bars...http://racecardynamics.com/products/...ractionarm.htm

IIRC, I thought they didn't make them for Rangers anymore.

i think alon sold those.

i would dump the exhaust. i like mine dumped.

i know you dont like street queen look but with 10 bucks worth of gloss black paint from walmart the underside of your truck would look so much better.

btw you could do the chevy swap for under 100 if you can find springs at a good price.

That's a semi funcitonal mod =]

I wanna get some POR and do it. Won't look bling bling but add some protection. Alright! Another good idea.

DEAVERS and run without the lift blocks

coil options for the RCD over on ORR, read the sticky in the suspension forum.

Give me your manual t-case for my on-the-fly

2nd OEM fog toggle for future wiring of offroad lights

exploder traction control toggle switch wired for ABS disable

ditch the backup lights for better departure angle

dump the exhaust

Give me your manual t-case for my on-the-fly
Install my RCD kit on my truck

hold gil so we can take turns punching him until he caves and gets non-bl'd sliders going

line-x the lower body panels/rocker panels(I plan on doing that when I can afford it)

I think that's it

No, just trying to "bulletproof" her a bit. Price isn't really a matter.

I was thinking about having my old bumper straightened out and putting it on this truck. What do you think? I know alot of ppl didn't like the prerunner style hoop but it's a badass bumper.

screw the RCD traction bars, ditch those brackets hangin down and get some JDs.
no mudflaps either. your tires are under the fenders, thats all that matters.

your list looks good. id work on gettin that done!

i like the bumper, but put the lights IN the hoop not on top

If I weren't as partial to my fogs for when I'm out road cruising for snakes in the middle of nowhere I'd go with a pre-runnerish bumper. Anything to better an approach angle. Women like a good approach angle

The lights do nothing to harm the departure angle. They're higher than a stock hitch.

The traction control switch is cool but too much work for a simple mod that's rarely used. That's the function before form thing I was talking about. My rockers do the job just fine.

I def wanna get rid of the block and get a new pack made for it. I may get some chebby's and add some james duff traction bars. Gumby talked me into them.

If I put my old bumper back on, I would wire the offroad lights to the existing fog switch as there'd be no need for the oem fogs.

I wanted to do that before! I was going to get the light brackets repositioned elsewhere on the bumper. That was my only quarrel with the design.

Great minds think alike.

Sold them to 5speedin2.3

I'll probably get something similar if I decide to remount the old bumper.

Makes sense. Right now I'm trying to figure out what to do with 200 bucks. New brakes are in order for the lift and I need the SL DS, but I'd also like to just sit on the money or snag a set of JD traction bars with it.

The 2nd fog toggle was more work that I really anticipated, but it's one of the function and form mods I like. I just need to get tabs for my KC, or get lifted so I can put the angle reducer, aka grille guard, back on.

I have new rotors and carbon metallic pads I robbed off my old truck that the new truck desperatly needs. I wouldn't consider that a mod though. More of a maintenance thing.
