Nightshade?

Hey everyone, I was wanting to get some opinions on something...

What do yall think it would look like if I nighshaded my headlights & clear corners? Not the insides of them, but a light coat of nighshade on the outside of them?

i know its an old post but i was just curious to something, schould i wet sand after i put the nightshade on and before i put the clear on, or schould i just put the nightshade on and than clear, will just doing that give it a shiny enough look or is wet sanding required.......

and does anyone know of any local places that carry this stuff like autoparts stores etc.

i was told to just use a scotch brite pad before you put the nightshade on, the rest you just paint, then clear

if you only use 1 coat of knightshade, wet sanding would just remove it most of it. for every other coat of nightshade/clear I would give a quick wet sand and cleaning to.

i think the stuff they use on prescription glasses is the way to go, get darker in sunlight, and turns clear when ur out of the sun. personally if u could fab that into automotive application it would forever change the way people 'night shade' their lights, and would be both beneficial and cool. for one, it wont cut down ur light output at night since the lenses would be clear, yet would be dark during the day to give that 'clean' look.

cost is neligable actually. all it is is a liquid they spray on, i highly doubt it ACTUALLY costs them $100 for half a teaspoon of stuff

Wouldn't having your headlights or any lights on make them start to dim? Or do your headlights emit a different light to where they wont dim?
