I got 2 choices to go with my tint..

straight up dark black like 10% or 5%

or get the mirror tint flamed in the passenger and driver side windows like Jon had on his tremor.

discuss im gettin it done on MOnday so i dunno which one to go with..

i got it tinted now but its kinda peeling and its lik 20% i want DARK :)

 

black...get 5% on the rear window and the extended cab windows and as dark as you can on the driver and passenger windows...it looks hot! that is what i have on my windows. i dont remember what is on the driver and passenger windows. i think it is 30% or pretty close to that.

 

well is your rear windshield and windows tinted from factory? XLT trim? If so I'd just match the front with 15%. That's what I did and it looks sweet. You don't want it @ 5 or 10. Then you'll have to put your window down at night to back up or look around.

Do you want to stay legall? If not then just get them to double up the tint and itll be pitch black. I got 5% and two layers of 15% on my back 3 windows and 2 layers of 15% on my front 2 its ilegall but its way darker than 5%.

 

I had 5 all around, got stopped and had to razor it.

5 in the back and 30 on the front windows now

i have 35% up front just so the cops dont get pissy about it..pretty strict about that up here.

 

in that pic you see how you can see in..i dont want that..since my truck is black i just want it to blend in with the body you know

5% you can still see in, Double them up and you cant see anything maybe think about tinting the windshield like i did and that will darken the rest of the windows quite a bit as well

 

i was thinkin about that too..what % would you need on the windshield not to get messed with by the cops?

 

Go with black 5%. I have it and love it, sucks at night when Im reversing but thats not all to often. For the reflective mirror, I only find it to look good on selective vehicles and colors.

 

go with 2.5%. i did my own back window, and ill be doing my sides soon too.

 

Call around they make a tint thats from Austrailia and you can put it on your windshield and it doesnt look tinted from the outside but you cant see in it. Kinda hard to explain, ill take a picture of mine for you.

 

if you tint yor windshield just do 35%, I had 35% on mine and 5% on front 2, and doubled 20% on my back 3. you couldn't see in it at all. my bud has 20% on his windshield and it sucks at night. but that was all befor the cops got to my tint, now my windshield is normal, just sunstrip, front 2 are now 35%, and backs are still dark. after i'm off probation it will be back to black!!!! :)

 

First: GET BLACK

Second: I have 5% on the rear and 35% on the driver/passanger windows. The 5% is not too dark at night, i myself can see just fine.

 

Thats another thing I keep talking about getting done but haven't yet. I really hate where I live its all down hill going home and lots of deer running around, So people tend to drive with there high beams on for some reason. Which is why I wanna get the back done more then anything.

 

Defnitely check into the legality of it. That'd be real sh1tty if you spent x amount of money on it and some a$$hole pig made you tear it off. In Pennsylvania it is completely illegal to tint any vehicle unless it comes stock. If you got window film on your vehicle it isn't stock lol. There's a nice exception to that rule though. If it is a pick-up truck you can tint the thing til you can't even see out of it. I don't know why, but the pick-up truck is considered a utility or farm vehicle in pa. As long as you don't bring the tint on your winshield lower than the factory marks you're golden. Anyway, check into man. Like I said, I'd hate to see you put that money in and be diasappointed when the po-po show up.
