If you want to go through the time and effort of an engine swap, go 5.0 or go home.

I'm pretty sure that expo axle will fit just fine

I don't know much about the older motor/trans setups and how easy or hard the 5.0 swap is, but I think at the end of the day you will like the 5.0 much better, just my opinion

the 4.0 and 2.9 do share trans bolt patterns, but the 2.9 trans won't hold up too long to the torque the 4.0 makes. i would go ahead and do the 5.0

i no that the wiring harnes for a 4.0 will plug into mine pretty much and if i do a 5.0 should i get it out on a stang and go with the ho or out of a bronco with just the normal 5.0 and then what should i get carb TB or fuel injection
