Exhaust idea, going with L style Magnaflow

Currently my setup is a thunderbolt high flow cat and into a 6" round maggie and tailpipe exiting in the stock location. I'm pretty serious about switching to the Lightning style exhaust with a SI/DO SS Magnaflow muffler.

I'm mostly doing this not just for looks but due to the shorter tailpipes, it should help get rid the raspy weedwacker sound and resulting in a more deeper and cleaner sound. I have the 2.5l lima 4banger.

If the L style exhaust won't help with the raspiness what kind of tail pipe will? I had it dumped for awhile but it resonated inside the cab more than my likings. But it sounded cool outside. Hence why my thinking is to keep the tailpipes short to get back the deep ballsy sound i'm looking for. I am sticking with Magnaflow. I don't have anything against the other mufflers by any means, i just prefer Magnaflow. What do you guys think of this setup? Thanks -Mike-

louder I don't mind, I just want the raspiness gone. Looks are always cool too! I know I won't get rid of it completly just because my truck is a 4banger but the exhaust needs to be smoother, cleaner and minimal raspiness. -Mike-
