I've never welded, and don't know how, I've always wanted to learn think this would be a good learning project, as long as I get a spare hood

or what I could do is wait for school and have the advanced welding class do it for me...they would do better than I would be

because I'm more into automotive, I took advanced automotive last year and I'm taking it again this year, the teacher has me move all the cars and do more of the hard stuff, the hardest thing any one has done in the class was valve covers on an 86 ranger with a 2.9(he knows my truck is a 2.9 and I rebuilt my heads) and I did it and it took me an hour per side and the teacher was expecting it to take 2 days and the guy came up to get it and he was surprised it was done so soon.

I've also changed a fan relay on a newer jeep Cherokee that the bumper had to be taken off to do, that was a fun one...that's all that really sticks out in my mind as being kinda hard

welding just seems repetitive, automotive changes everyday..unless its a big project

when your an iron worker its never the same thing twice other than a mechanic its always carbs head ac and trannys....

a marine mechanic is worse its always starts carbs lowers and wireing always!!!!!!
