You can buy a set, with new parts for less than $80

Do you have to remove the stock hinges?

i'd just buy the hood quicklift from wayne at underdog for 60!!! it's alot nicer, looks alot better and will work a helluva lot longer than those crappy shocks that ford uses

they replace stock hinges.

Im not a fan of the UDP ones as the limit access from the sides to the engine. I soppose you could use the prop rod and remove the pistons if you needed the room.

The udp ones are good for the '01+ rangers. The composit hood is much heavier then the hood on your truck. I don't think the ones you have on your ranger will support the weight.

Huh?

fyi the pic is of an explorer check the cowl/wipers

i need a new hood and was thinking of doing the edge swap. Maybe the quick lifts are a better choice.
