What type are you looking for?

It will be a little more difficult because where the **** goes on, it is splined instead of threaded.

I had a nice Ractive shift **** in my old Contour, and a matching boot. It was a nice aluminum **** with a vinyl grey insert around it. It was pretty nice and easy to install. A little cold to the touch on cold days though lol.

Guy is GREAT, can do anything you want. Best part is he owns a Ranger, and has a cool aluminum adapter for Ranger shifters.

Wife's old shifter (now has an FX4II, so no need for a custom!) It's a pic of our dogs....

Well I do not know how to get mine off, that is my dilema... My truck is listed in my sig so if you know how to remove the stock one, that would be a great helper.

heat it up with a hair dryer all the way around the base and PULLLLL. make sure you pull inline with the shifter and not on an angle or you will fracture the nylon shofter pck bushings, i usually put in in neutral and let it stay in its relaxed position between 3 and 4 and pull

Haha I always let it rest between 3 and 4 when I have the parking brake on. Alright, I will try that. Is it sealed with locktite or something?

it is usually just really tight fitting, everytime i took mine off of my stock shifter i had to break it, i would remove the shifter from the truck, clamp the **** in the vise and turn the shaft and pull

Speaking of custom machined, Here's my shift ****. Made it at work one day when I was bored.

Tried taking the pick without flash so you could get a better idea of the finish. Satin and polished.

I put a "T" handle shifter on my old Dakota. If I ever get another manual it will have a one, that thing felt awesome!

but i love polishing my ****!

i need to take it back into metal shop and throw it on the lathe and sand it down and repolish it. the finish is starting to dull from the use .. anyone else have the problem of their shifter stick not being threaded like mine is? i drilled the **** to sit on there snugly but it doesnt screw on, so i think i may turn it down on the bottom and put a collar with a set screw in it
