hood vinyl

96RpAaNjGoErR and i were thinking about getting vinyls made to fit in the scoop of the powerdome style hood, 01 and up. we are making flat black and were checking interest for possible other colors.

so if your interested just post up what color you would like and we'll make up the most popular ones.

they are going to be made out of Avery Vinyl which is good for up to 9 years without fade. the price is going to be around $25 depending on the amount of members interested.

if interested reply to this thread if you want more info PM 96RpAaNjGoErR.

Oh I thought it was like the 4.0 vinyl stickers that go on the hood. So its just a sticker for that flat area... I'll pass

I'd take a flat black one. If/when you decide to do this, PM me.

i have done tons of car he doesn't need to get that professionally painted thats a nothing job for paint and prep he can get some car spray paint and clear and tap it off and do it that way for 10 bucks. look at my truck i painted it with 99 cent cans and it worked great if you prep it well it will stick and not flake off.

im not trying to get into a fight or ego or anything like that im just saying it doesn't need professional done when you can do it your self

Man..., you got that right...HD FTL! LOL

Bro, I've decided I like dark gray. I think dark gray rockers and hood insert would be sinister looking with the right wheel combo. Let me know if you can get it flaked, if not, plain ol' dark gray will do nicely.

yea sandin and paintin will cost more in your time anyway and with a peel n stick you can always undo it whereas to have your hood look right repainting it would be a bicth, we just thought this is a good idea and decided since we were already gunna get some made we'd see who was interested, if your not interested and want to paint yours go ahead, but please keep this thread clean so we can see who is interested.

that is a guess-timate with shipping, we wont have a set price until we have the number of interested people and the colors were gunna have them made in, the more people the cheaper the price, just like anything else.

this is very preliminary, a "feeler" thread if you will.

Geez, you're not kidding about the cold... I get to work outside in it all day. Woo hoo! I actually painted my hood insert orange but the paint resembled the Harley trucks and I didn't like it, so I painted it back black lol. I had it in my head it was going to be awesome, but after seeing it I began to think: "Gray...shoulda went with gray..."

Shipping should cost under a dollar for each. I would talk to a couple of graphics shops in the area, get a couple of estimates.
