Mergeing 94 with 95
Basically I got a beat up ol' 95 ranger that runs pretty well, only around 180,000 miles on it. Problem is that the body got tore up goin head to head with a 2500. So I recently got a 94 whos body is in good shape...and what is bad on the body with it was left intack on my 95 so I could swap. So with putting my good engine and what not onto the good body of the 94 it should make for a presentable truck. Only problem its lookin like Im runnin into is the wire harness and dash cause the one in the 94 is busted while the one in my 95 is nice. Any thoughts?

Yes the 94 engine is bad...it runs but on one leg. It has a dead cylinder with two other cylinders that have deteriorating seals. Also the EGR valve on the 94 looks like someone took a hammer to it. My 95 on the other hand still runs like a champ, still origional clutch, and has given me no problems. Ive just kept up with regular maintenance on it, dont try to push it, and I mainly drive it on the freeway...I see no reason not to keep it.

I just finished pulling the complete dash from my parts truck. I pulled the wiring harness and inner dash frame all in one shot. It was a pita! As long as they older model trucks have the same mounting points it should work. I dont have an older truck to compare it to that is apart. When you start the swap let me know and I may be able to help you find the hidden screws. and send a few pics of it apart.
