Idea!

how about i just make my own cold air intake? ive seen pics of some and it looks like is simple to make one?what do you think, any ideas?or even taking out the air box and just fitting a filter on the end of the snorkle and securing it?

Lots of people have done it. Just some tubing and a cone filter really.

If youre interested, i'm about to start working with a guy on some ranger intakes. He is in pasadena and makes the tubes, then uses whatever filter i'd want. We should have it going in the next few weeks, and i can try and get you one to help out with some testing.

mx2007 11-04-2007 03:56 PM

heck yeah ill test it.

Well whenever you get the kits together or need a 1999 XLT 3.0 V6 FFV for a tester let me know. I'm in the works for a new intake and I'd be interested in an intake. Keep us posted on the progress, maybe a thread dedicated to the development of the intakes?

Brando5105 11-26-2007 01:32 PM

any new news on this? Thanks

03 Army Ranger 12-19-2007 10:02 AM

I made an intake out of PVC before! It was for some ricer buddy of mine, total cost was like $50. It worked really well too, didn't look half bad either...

Ace 12-19-2007 01:59 PM

so how is that test going?

RangerExtreme 12-26-2007 05:05 PM
