Painting blinker lights

Im going to be repainting my grill pretty soon, and thought about painting those blinker "bars" below the headlights on an 00 to look like an 01+. (thats how the 04? and up is).(its not a solid piece). I'd have to wire in the blinkers into the park lights on the sides. Where are the blinkers on an 01-03?

do the blinker mod, then your outer little blinker would blink... just cut the ground to the small light (194), and splice in on the big turn signal ground(3157)...

They may be orange, but not the same shade.

I haven't really had much of a chance to think about it, i've been pretty busy lately. If I do it, i'll have to wire my blinkers first.

yeah, that looks clean, and you'll be doing it on an orange truck so it won't stand out so much
