Lowering ideas
So i got my exhaust leak fixed now i wanna lower my truck about 1.5 in the back whats the best way to lower your truck with out losing the already small amount of smooth driveability?

flipping the shackles will drop it 2-3" depending on what gen u have, will also improve ride dynamics

i wanted to do the same thing without spending a lot of $, I lowered mine about 1.5in. using 10,000 pound straps what i did was put Wight in the back till it was about 2in. lower on each side and strapped the leaf spring to the frame and took the Wight out and it was 1.5in. lower..... it makes the ride a little stiffer but not too stiff, it reduced body roll and u can always take them off.

but it's easy and doesn't take long (maybe 2-3 hours start to finish) |

to drop it that much, the right way is to grind the rivets on the hangers, flip the hangers,a nd bolt the hangers back in using 3/8X1" grade 8 bolts |
i flipped the hangers saturday and it ended up lowering it about 3 inches and the truck is now even but the truck looks as if it is tipping up because the 08 fender wells are bigger than the 95s so now im going to lower the front to give it that angled look where can a find a cheap set of lowering springs for the front because i really dont want to pull a no no and heat up or cut the stock springs.
