Just goes to show...if ya stick around long enough you'll see damn near anything. I had a baby blue Pinto hatchback in the day that I got when my 63 Beetle finally rusted back into the earth. Kept the Pinto until I bought an 85 Escort. All three were pretty good little cars. No chick magnets but then, neither is a Ranger.

I am not familiar with the Pinto Sprint. Was it just a the paint scheme or was there other changes to make it a Sprint?

I have a friend that has a 64 Falcon Sprint and I know it has quite few changes from the factory to make it a Sprint.

I bought a new 73 Pinto wagon with a 4 spd and kept it for 9 years. It was actually a very good car. I used it for everything including camping. I don't recall having to do any major repairs other than normal maintenance. I put Bilstein shocks on it with some slightly wider, good quality radial tires. It handled pretty well in the corners.

Sprint was an appearance package Ford put on Pintos, Mavericks and Mustangs in 1972 for the '72 Olympics. They were white and all had blue and red striping and panels. They had special red white and blue interiors. There was a Canadian version with a Canadian themed shield on the rear quarter panel instead of the USA version. They are fairly rare now.

Looks subtle. Not over the top or anything. Good work
