hell i'd get a shifter from the new automatic stang's.. there electronic and on the floor.. be like having a slap shifter

 

The '04 Hyundai Tiburon GT we used to have had such a thing. You could upshift or downshift it in manual mode like a manual trans. Even it the manual mode you could floor it and it would not downshift, just like a manual unless you told it to and you could hold it in a lower gear until it either redlined or you shifted up with a slap on the shifter. It was kind of fun, but a the 6-speed manual would have been alot more fun. unfortunately, the wife can't drive a stick shift and doesn't want to learn (despite my efforts...lol) We have since traded it in on an '07 Mercury Mariner which is plenty fast enought in just [D] so I guess I'm happy.
