Mini dump?

I just thought how cool would it be to make a mini dump truck out of the ranger? Make it a duel wheel and just throw a custom build dump bed on. Has anyone seen anything like this before?

Dump Hoists Kits Hydraulic

You can do it pretty easily actually and wouldn't really need dual rear wheels.

A friend of my grandfather had one. It was a first gen with a Ford 9 inch and a 302. He plowed snow with it and hauled gravel and firewood. No crazy weight but it was cool and could fit just about anywhere. I will see if he still has it and snap a few pictures if I get the chance.

As far as dual wheels that would be interesting but would the frame hold the weight ?

The fenders, you could take some steppie plastic side and mold them on a styleside bed and get the tire coverage.

Hah! I remember back in the day on Trucks when Stacy put a dump bed on one of his projects, I thought that was the coolest thing ever!

Yeah, I saw that episode also but he used a system that uses an air bag and compressor which I think would be easier to install.

I can't see it being very useful for the money spent. Maybe on my F350, but the Ranger can't handle anything I couldn't shovel out of the bed.

Well that can be said for any load. I have had 3000lbs in the back of my ranger and routinely pull a 4000 lbs trailer behind it. Don't sell the Ranger short it can haul much more than most think. My Ranger has 125k miles on it by the way and of course the transmission is about to have to be rebuilt but, that is to be expected working it the way I do. Honestly I'm impressed with how it has held up.
I do wonder how much extra wieght a dump bed would result in however.
