You can find those specs on appliance repair sites such as www.fixitnow.com

lol! Well, I never install or design any piping -- I'm primarily an automation engineer and I provide specs on the flows I need and other folks here put the piping together to my specs. Hence: no retention of the numbers. :)

And it's actually stuff you need to know to design the ductwork for our large furnaces, or piping for the gas and hydraulic systems. The scale is a bit different though than dryer ducting -- but the principle is the same.

You can get some good duct work/vent installations gone wrong at www.hvac-talk.com in their wall of shame. I always get a kick out of that site.

Damn this went from how bad the pipe looked, to the physics of ram air, to air suction, and now we're on bikes
