Probably the supidest question/person...
Hey... i feel like such a moron... :( about a year ago i got a 2003 Ford ranger 2WD and i really want 4WD now! but thats not the question. i got a stepside and i looked at getting a camper shell for it, but it looks like CRAP on a stepside so i decided not to get one. Maybe i could purchase a new bed for it? (is that totaly out there?) Or should i just trade it in and get a 4WD Ranger with a normal bed and kill 2 birds with one stone? Thanks all,,, i know thats a dumb arss question but i need advice.
thanks bro's

The FX4 is *THE* 4x4 Ranger. The FX4 Level II Ranger is a VERY nice version that comes with Bilstein shocks among other amenities. It's also $28k.
Here is a nice site with a breakdown of what Ranger has what features: Ranger breakdown

Leagal trails up here? lol there are none, its all about doing the "supposedly closed down roads" I have a 1952 M38 ****** jeep so i am happy about the toughness and 4 wheelin cababilitys of that, and to my dissapointment there are only a few places within like 45 minutes of here. (that i know of) Im sure you guys have checked out West Camino Cielo up on San Marcos pass? That trail goes all the way out to Santa Ynez Valley, ive taken my truck up there but its not something i want to do too much if you know what i mean. But yeah SWEET your the guy out at the Camper shell place across from the Airport that i met hoh? Man you would be crazy to trade me. i have a 2003 stepside, u have a 2004 with camper shell? lol keep urs. Dont like your fender flares though hoh? but sure we should hook up sometime and check out some trails or something? But i would like a camper shell, you know for like Camping or skiing, or just gettin it on with ur girl, lol or whatever, save money on no hotel. 4 Wheel drive would be nice too, to admit i probably would do TOO much off roading with it since i have a jeep to **** up. but for snow and the occasional mud.
To all those kickin it in the 805 area, take it easy.

Yeah i talked with my mom and well she kinda blew up on me about selling my truck. Its really my money and its my descision but well you know moms, its the dissapointed attitude they give you. plus she is paying for my insurance . Definately would like a Fx4 though. Ill just fix my truck up a little, Thinking about going with Posse traction, 4 inch Suspension lift, 2 1/2" Body lift Some nice All terrain tires, a custom front bull bar, (hopefully with winch) rear custom bumber, sun visor, flowmaster, and some other good expensive crap that people suggest i do, lol. Should be fun, i want to swap the bed out for a regular though, no more stepside for me. Anymore sugestions?
