another tornado rip or sumthing better?

got this link off of another forum i visit. it is supposed to be the same concept of the tornado but a different design that is better. ofcourse, thats a gimmick a lot of people use (compare their product to another) but this one actually makes sense to me and ive done research on the tornado as well. check it out and tell me what yall think.

In a sidedraft, multi port fuel injected vehicle with long plenums, there ain't no swirling left by the time that air reaches the cylinders.

Also, you don't get something for nothing. In order to make the air swirl, the energy has to come from SOMEWHERE, right? You don't think this thing can make it swirl just by magic do you?

That energy comes from the forward motion of the air, SLOWING IT DOWN. The thing adds resistance in other words. So, you get less air at high flow rates, and no appreciable increase in power anywhere.

The only place those things have EVER made sense is in downdraft throttle body injected vehicles.

I can't believe I'm EVEN typing this physics lesson AGAIN. Apparently nobody researches, and nobody reads whats already been posted. Why would this thing be ANY different in terms of stealing energy from the moving airstream? That, if no other reason, makes it a BAD idea unless you have fuel air mixing problems.

And with that, I don't think I'm ever posting on this subject again.

I'll break it down to language you can understand, John:

The thing is nothing but

And if you buy this thinking it's then you'll just say

Basically, they are one accessory

Hope that clarifies it...

its made to act like an electric supercharger. the idea sounds good, force more air into the manifold, but its not conected with engine rpm like a real blown engine. so it will not vary with the engine just constantly forcing a certain amount of air into ur manifold so when ur engine is starved like at high rpm it will restrict airflow like john has said now and before in other post. it may and just a little at idle help draw in more air at idle but thats it. so spend the big bucks and get the real thing.

Tell me about it. I tell everyone I know who even considers one they are a waste of money. I did see something yesterday and it ticked me off. If any of you know Sam memolo from Shadetree Mechanic, Crank and Chrome and Two Guys Garage I saw him on a Tornado comercial. Needless to say my respect fr him just went down the toliet. I used to be one of the followers but my faith has been in vain.
