should I powdercoat my factory rims?
just like the title says.
i cam across this guy who lives in the next town who does powder coating and he is good friends with my buddy i car pool with to and from work. he's gonna talk to him tonight and see what kinda deal he can give me.
also could someone do a quick PS job for me? could ya make my rims flat black and gloss black?

I vote this idea.
After seeing that yellow truck with them done in black they looked completely ruined.

Just painted mine flat black... looks pretty awesome... but uuuhh... the first freakin' spray can produced a semi-glossy rim... I don't know why, it seem like the grains didn't come off the can right... the other 3 rims are perfect... so because of that, I am putting a clear on it... :/
I am a flat black maniak hahaha

For the price it will probably cost to powercoat you will be able to buy new aftermarket wheels for slightly more and then keep your stock ones for spares or whatever or sell them and get back some money.
I called around asking how much to do my wheels black and from the prices I was told it would be cheaper to just buy new wheels and then sell my old ones, plus if your powdercoating your wheels the truck is gonna have to sit on jackstands for a few days unless you have a spare set of wheels/tires.
