It's more economical to replace the engine *IF* the rest of the truck is in good condition.

Yeah it would make more sense as a daily driver. I bet its a pretty fun car to drive, those things are normally pretty quick. Make sure to give it a good once over though, I have some friends that drive those and they take terrible care of them.

Fix the truck.

The Civic is nice, but it's a Honda. Yeah it's good on gas, but you're paying more for insurance, vehicle payments (or cash purchase).

It's cheaper to fix the truck. And trucks are practical. Hondas aren't.

He already said his dad won't give him money to fix the truck, just for a new car.

Only honda I would own would be a prelude. Hatchbacks are just fun to mess around in haha, I think I would get another truck if I were you especially for that price. I bet it's a great car though nontheless, although I don't like that gen. All up to you though man.

Also, you better run a Carfax on it before buying it if you are serious.

I can't remember the last time I've seen one of those on the road. They aren't very common up here.

You cannot go from a FORD RANGER to a honda civic (or any hatchback for that matter). PLEASE NO!
