Debating AGAIN: Lift OR Drop,, with poll,,

-LIFT
Stock Rims with 31" A/T's,, 5" / 4" SPINDLES, COILS, BLOCKS, W/ SHOCKS $680 + $500 for tires = $1180 + install

Pros: Ground clearence and awesome looks like a 4x4, always wanted a big **** truck, offroading(max about once a week)

Cons: MPG, fear of flipping over, its not a 4x4, infact its a 4 banger

-DROP
Some 17" rims with tires,, 3" COILS 4" HANGER KIT W/ 4-SHOCKS 380 + 500 tires + 500 rims = 1380 + install

Pros: Handling, Speed, and it be one of the few lowered trucks in my area

Cons: No highway presence, fear of being sandwiched between much bigger trucks, its a 4 banger therefor its not gonna be fast, no more playin in the dirt

I now have over $900 for this saved up,, more coming,, just need to deside,,

Lift! You will miss the truck being high. I am guessing you didn'tbuy the truck so you could feel like you are riding in a car. Besides, with what you have already don e to you truck make it look more like an off-road truck not a low-rider. Lift it Please!

Strange thing happend on the way to get pizza, this little honda civic with a fart can pulled up next to me at the light and started revving his little engine. I thought it was funny as hell and sence my magnaflow sounds similar I revved mine, he looked at me, I laughed back at him. The light turned green, he was all ready to floor it when a car turns into his lane from the ajoining street, so with my lane all open, I floor it and out fart his fart can. Made my day to laugh at him. Just a random thing, maybe I can do a combo, 17" rims with 31" A/Ts??

*EDIT* from looking at your cardomain I'd say go w/e way...at least you gotta newer 2.3L....now I like the mild look about like Zachs 93 his is just right that or the look of a splash just a lil low street look w/o going crazy and slamin it...b/c your not gonna get alot of money for a slamed truck

Be different, i say lower it, a lot of people have been lifting their trucks lately.. esp with your 4cyl, i think it'd work out better that way.. but thats just my opinion

most of the lowerd guys ive talked to didnt notice much if any difference in mpg,, either way most of my friends are split on it too,, some love the lowerd rice truck look, others love the lifted redneck look,, Im just going to see what are the results of this poll in a month and go by that,, I personaly love the looks of both just I cant have both,, the plan is suspension first, then wheels and tires, then a tuner and efan,, maybe lower it and get a atv? or lift it and borrow my sis's neon when I wanna be low,,

leave it stock or lift it ! I've had a lowered truck and let me tell you its more problems than its worth . if you want the lowered look just get some big rims and low pro tires. I had a 3 inch spindle and 2 inch coils in my old s-10 and the problems where rediculous. i went to just the 3 inch drop spindle and still had problems . Its easy to bend your rims if you have low pro tires and limited travel. I eventualy bent every rim had them straightened and by the end they where all messed up again. bottoming out on stuff eventualy bent the drive shaft and that then ruined the u-joints.

stick with a little spindle lift or something.

also wanted to add that if you do decide to go with lowering like i said above stay stock , get huge rims like 20's and bigger bump stops. if you really must go further then that you should definently put it on air bags! I can almost promise you that after 6 months of riding low you will hate it and hopefully nothing will have been damaged before you return it to stock. The only good thing about it is cornering is really increased with z rated tires and being low. but maybe if you fork out the money for bags it will be worth it since you can bring it up on rough roads ... when my truck was slammed there where stretches of pavement in places where it snows that over the years the cars had made two deep lines with a ridge in the middle ( you see this where it snows alot) the bottom of the truck literaly dragged on the hump in the pavement for mile after mile. don't forget that lowering a car is bad enough but trucks wheelbase is really long so your breakover angle becomes a big issue.

i hated my lowered s-10 i lost my front bumper on a sand bag and always had to replace the front winshield from ppl trowing up rocks from the highway. it was a 4 banger and i hated it i just wanted it to die.so i vote lift cause i have a lifted ranger and i love it. plus fords are for lifting and chevys are for lowering to bow down to ford
