Cab lights

i have been thinking about putting some cab lights on top of my truck, my idea is to get some square ones from the lmc book and put them on like that truck in the picture, i have seen a couple trucks on here that have them and thought they look great.

If you want opinions, don't, I just don't think they look great

They seem out of place on a ranger

If your going to put them on don't use the cheap looking ones from LMC. Check out the ones from Recon:

Those black ones wouldn't be so bad cause they don't pop out at you like orange ones.

I like mine, im not a fan of amber anything on my truck, but i think they look good. when i pull up to places at night people think i drive a superduty! its great. id go with the black ones if you have clear corners.

As far as opinions, I like 'em. Except I only like OEM ones like the one I posted above. Not only can they be upgradable(lenses), but they're somewhat plentiful and replacement parts are easily findable. Plus...OEM look is nice. The ones in the OP pic just look horrid IMO. I was actually going to do the Super Duty ones but then I got hell bent on getting a visor with the lights on 'em.

^x2 i love the OEM style and i wish those are what i had on my truck. But i got mine for free and they were brand new so i didnt complain. If i ever get clear turn/corner housings ill switch over to smoked OEM cab lights.

crap, you guys are giving me ideas.. how would you guys think these blacked out or smoked ones would look on an 07 dsg truck. also since they are super duty lights other then the obvious drilling and such would there be any other modifications for them to work?

Hey like you said its just drilling, the shape of the lights matches the roof so they meet up seamlessly. just take your time with the lay out and make some templates. then drop the headliner and start drilling carefully. watch out for all the medal shavings!!!!! lots of towels to cover dash and all over the hood and roof, their very sharp.

I put them on my last truck and have really wanted them on the Ranger. I just think it would look goofy unless it is a lifted truck. I think they would look goofy on my truck.
