were you looking at this picture?
most of you are dense, has anyone read what i say? other than the parts about cutting? i will be lifting it a little, it doesn't rub just driving.
its not done, i have plans.
i'm curious, how many of you actually wheel your trucks? most of you are probably scared of scratching them...
its all about having fun and wheeling the crap out of your rig. thats what i'm going to do with my truck.

I haven 't read all the posts, but the bottom line is he has plans for his truck, and unlike some people on here, he probably has bills, and doesn't live with Mommy and Daddy who pay for everything. And, I don't know him from a hole in the ground, but he probably got a good deal on the tires and didn't want to pass it up. So, in cases like that you do what you can when you can.
If you don't like it, so what? Not your truck and not yours to worry about.
I know we are all supposed to be adults, or at least close to adulthood, but damn people...instead of giving negativity, try turning it in to something positive. Like, "Tires look great, and good job cutting the fenders. Are you going to lift it? If not, do you have any idea on home it will flex? It might still rub"
See, not critical, not negative. Its not hard people. And flame me all you want, I don't care.

What gives you the right to judge me? hmmm? lol
Also, why is he now talking about 42's without lifting it anymore?

Just cause you got tires/rims doesn't mean you have to use them right away.
Dude, it's called the game of life, it aint t-ball and we don't all get to have a pizza party after the game.
Most here have chosen to tell the OP the truth as they see it, and not lie to him. If this board was all "truck looks great, love the tires, great job." what would be the point of reading it?
My opinion is the OP is a kid in high school and lives home with mommy and daddy. I ask you would you cut the fenders off a truck you had to buy with your own hard earned money?
People with payments aint hating it's just that they are smart enough not to destroy a truck they are still paying for. We all had old beaters before we got payments, and I don't think any of us cut up our trucks back then.

wheelin and driving though a muddy field are two different things skooter. 75% of the people on this forum are nothing more than sheep and internet mechanics who shoot thier mouth off. take ur body lifts, 33" BFG mall terrains, flowmaster mufflers and shove em up ur *** for pete's sake.
a 2" lift would be sweet and make sure to roll them fender lips to keep the tires from getting cut up. post some progress pics! oh and have u looked into a set if 34x10.50x15 swampers? would be ideal for what ur aiming for.

and yes.... I would also do that to a truck I payed for with my hard earned money.
I tell you what... go to Pirate 4x4 and start a topic... ask which is better, lift it as high as possible and put the biggest tires you can on... or, keep as low of a COG as possible while still running the largest tires possible... I know what they will tell you... but I still get a kick out of reading it, so.... do it. lol

well.... if I was making a rig to wheel with.... I would rip the bed off, cut the hell out of the front fenders, SAS, and run 38's.... all with a grand total of 4" or LESS lift.

Did you see the pics of his truck? What kind of wheeling do you expect him to be doing? Lets be real here.
Good luck running 38's on a stock ranger suspension! Let me know how that works out for you.

Go tell him he's not going to be able to wheel it... let me know how that goes for ya. lol

pics of my ranger are on here use the search button. There is also a few of my new truck....again search.
You are talking 4" lift the op's truck is not lifted at all as of right now though he says he has plans of lifting it.
PreRunner-Ranger is running 35's stock, but lets remember he has glass fenders and bedsides.
I'm not sure who the other member is. I will have no problem telling him to his face 38's and IFS just don't mix well. Ifs has enough problems with 38's on the street if you plan to use it off road I hope you have more than just a regular AAA plan.
