OEM part number for armrest?
 

Hey everyone, knew to this site and vehicle. I've already done some searching but a lot of the threads seem old, and can't find the info I'm looking for.

Im doing some fixing up on a truck I just bought, and am trying to find the part number for the armrest/console with the 1 cup holder for the 60/40 seats. Tan in color. The plastic bottom of the lid is cracked, so you can't put any resting support on the armrest without it weighing down or cracking more. Id like to buy a replacement lid, tan in color, but can't find the OEM part number. Checking to see if anyone knows about this, or if this particular setup armrest is rare on these vehicles.

Hi I have the same armrest with the same problem.

You will likely find you have to locate this part used. Either in a salvage yard or eBay.

Finding one that is not broken already will be the hard part.

I contacted Ford they claim it is no longer in stock.

But won't have that specific part

Ill be hitting junkyards, but you're right on with the ones I've checked....getting one thats not already broken is the trick. That natural entry with putting all the weight on your right elbow is the worst!

Thats one of the last few cosmetics I need to finish for this truck I recently purchased. One more leverage lean and this thing is done for.

I was going to plastic weld mine, and reinforce it with stainless mesh.

Yet just yesterday I decided to make it my sisters problem by giving her my truck.

Plastic weld, never used that before. Ill look into that if it can be an easy structural fix.

Plastic welding can be done in such a way that the repaired part is stronger than the original.
The question is will the welded part be usable?

I haven't done it because the stainless mesh will add to thickness of the arm rest.

This extra thickness may make it uncomfortable and it may not go back together properly.

My other thought was to have one printed, My grandson has a plastic printer and is in the process of making a LS engine out of plastic.

I will talk to him to see if something like this is possible with his machine.

I think the one he has only does a part up to 7 inches long.
