offroad lights

offroad lights

im thinking of putting two offroad lights on my bumper. i found a flat space on the bumper but not sure if there is enough space. i have a 97 ranger. has anyone put some kc or similar lights moutned to the bumper? how could i mount them?

yes, its entirely possible, I run POS housings with nice lights and theyre crazy bright, mine are wired to stock fog light wires but most run independent circuit. Anything light housings that arent 'deep dish' will work. has to be shallow mount KC if thats the brand you want

Whatever you do, don't drill into the bumper, make a bracket that mounts to the bumper mounts.

wow those look awesome. how did you mount those? thats exactly what i want on my truck. how wide are your lights?

im thinking of just getting some automotive grade tape and putting on the bottom of these then putting it on the bumper. think that will make them stay in place?

wide are the housings or the light beam? If you are referring to light cast then its solely dependent on the cut of the glass. onthe roof I have 100% clear lenses that are spot lights. but on the bumper the glass is fluted and scatters light all over. They are unbearable to look at, i mean MAD bright

ive got 2 of those cheap harbor freight lights as well. great lights for the money. bright as ****.

I drilled right into the bumper of my ranger. Came out nice. But I would recommend a light bar.

how do i mount an angle iron light bar to the inside of the grille?

just put your left foot in, take your left foot out. then put your left foot in and you shake it all about.

made some light tabs out of 1/4 in thick steel and put the harbor frieght lights on. they look and work great .awesome for bad weather. thanks a lot for all the help guys.
