Optimus Prime paint job

I have an '03 tremor flareside extended cab that i would like to have painted into an optimus prime paint scheme. whats everyones general consensus about that? the truck is already red so it shouldnt be more than fading the flames and blue into it. i know it sounds kinda dorky but lets just see the overall opinion would be. just throwing that idea out there.

unless its a show truck its kinda lame... i was thinking about doing that paint job on a '77, i already was going to put smoke stacks on, and its going to be a show and go truck. i like themed trucks but I also want something no one else has and im sure people have already done the paint job so im still undecided.

not to mention, painting it isn't cheap. You'll probably be looking at a couple grand. You dont just simply spray paint on.

Seems like an awful lot of money to me. I think you'd be happier spending it elsewhere.

I would be one of the first to say "Optimus Prime, how flippin awesome" but on a Ranger, I really dont see that turning out to well.

Swimming laps around a bottle of Louie The 13th
Jumping off of a mountain into a sea of Codine
Iím at the top of the top but still I climb
And if I shall ever fall the ground will then turn to wine
Pop, Pop, I feel like flying, then I feel like frying, then
I feel like dying

I said freaking awesome, but I wanted to clarify freakign awesome.

I think itd be too much for a ranger. If you were doing this to a 18 wheeler, then oh yes by all means. Id say go with the old school colors. The flames are cool but theres something about the old school colors which kicks ***.

I think itd look better on a full size bronco instead of a ranger. Just bigger and more engine power to back up the power of Optimus Prime.

So in simple terms, on a ranger no.

Whatever happen to a single simple color, or a two tone highlight. Man..... If you have the money for a custom paint job like that... by all means, spread the wealth. I could use the funds to get my solid axle installed.
