Overhead console

Im not sure If ya'll are familiar with the Dodge ram overhead console setup.......in my dads 2002 Ram 3500, it has a overhead console that displays the temp, your average gas mileage, miles till empty, and compass. Is there a way to hook up one of those so that you can have your gas mileage and stuff shown as you drive? Im wondering if its factory calibrated, and cant be changed, or if its like the simple vacumm type gauges that you hook up to a vacuum line to use to tell when your getting your best fuel economy. Im trying to come up with a mod that is somewhat unique and doesn't cost alot to do.

Yeah neither did I, but they do have temp / compass. Getting an OHC out of a Ram to fit would be hard. But I think someone put one in out of an F150...

the explorer OHC doesnt show gas mileage info, but does have the compass and temp display; now in certain explorer models, there was a section of the center console that would show mileage info, but it ran off of the computer, which ranger PCM's dont have the ability to do..

explorers never had anything production wise in the overhead console except for lights, rear hvac climate control and sunroof controls. There are wires that run to the rear view mirror for compass and others to sun visors for home remotes and message recorders and yes the explorer did have a diagnostic type read out in the console on high series models in the late 90's
all had different computer modules in them
