Yea, if you want a real good paint job, don't take it to Macco or some fly by night shop.

Thanks for the feed back and I did plan on spending a few thousand on a paint job but that's a normal paint job when I was talking about getting suggestions of colors without breaking the bank I was mainly talking about stuff like candy paint I don't wanna spend 5k on the job and another 2k on material lol and I only have access to my phone right now so it won't let me post the pic I have, the pic I found online it's a 98-00 ranger that is a green that I don't believe is factory but it looks great I'll try to get to a desktop and ad a pic

there are hundreds of greens. Till you post the pic, there's really no help we can give. If you plan on going with a single stage, i'd just leave the truck alone. It will look like ***.

follow this link!

Let me google that for you

Then go to "images" and guess what..tons of green rangers. Not many of us have green rangers that are not the stock color of green.

Ohh, cardomain.com would be a great place to search too

I like that amazon green but if it had more of a teal tint to it I think it'd match the pic I posted real close

Color change is a big move. As mentioned, to do it right ( read expensive) everything would have to be stripped, including removing the doors to paint the jambs and inner doors, box, grill, bumpers, etc. The grill, bumper, lights, and some trim are fairly easy to remove by you. All depends on what results you and your checkbook can live with. Doing it cheap, and passing on the details, will lessen resale value big time. It's also going to tie up your truck for a week or two. Just a few things to consider.
Image googling 'green Ford Ranger' shows a pretty good choice of colors.
You might want to talk to your friendly local body shops and get estimates too. Ask about their paint line, and warrenty. There are 'while you wait' shops that use cheap materials. Paint looks fine for a month or two, then dies out, losing it's shine. Good quality paint isn't cheap, but it'll last.

I really like the feedback I'm getting but I asked for paint options I'm getting everyone talking to me like I'm an idiot I know what goes into painting a vehicle but none of that is getting me any closer to finding a green I like I know it's expensive I know it's a challenge u know it'll take some time none of this is a concern to me so please stop enphensizing all of these obstacles if you aren't talking about what subject has been posted for help about then please don't waste my time

My appologies. Certainly didn't think you're an idiot, just thought I'd mention a few things that might be helpful. Meant no harm. I'll keep my thoughts to myself.

need a picture of the truck not in the shade to get it exactly right... but from the sounds of it you are talking about the same color as a guy named Mike (IIRC) has a turbo 2.3 ranger... like a 93-97 bodystyle i think.

he's on the other ranger forum that this one blocks if I try to say it's name, so I cant post a pic of his car... but his SN is mikesturbo94
