Not a new idea. Many people have done it. That hood bolts right up. Came off 01-03 4wds and edges. The gap is kind of close on the grille when compared to the headlights when bolted up to your 99, but its barely noticable.

Junkyards, craigslist, or here are about your only options. No one makes them aftermarket, so it's gotta be a used thing. Just like what Dangerranger01 said, they're only found on 01-03 XLT 4x4's and all 01-03 Edge model trucks and is a direct swap on your truck.

Here's a few Gen4(98-00's) with the Powerdome hood on it....

Like a freind of mine who's a body shop manager once told me-"good luck finding decent front end body parts at a junkyard-THEY'RE USUALLY THE FIRST THINGS TO ARRIVE AT THE SCENE OF AN ACCIDENT!"

I got completely lucky and found mine on Craigslist LOCAL for 75 bucks! It needed some minor work, but I love how it looks on my 4th gen. It completely changes the look of the entire truck!

I spent a year or two loooking for one. Bought one in blue, then a few months found one black so i don't have to paint it.

Now i have an extra blue one, and no one wants to buy it. I think i'm going to junk it...haha...

I wanted to buy your blue one that you had for sale, but I'm in Michigan...not exactly right around the corner! Then I found mine a few weeks later.
