ranger rebuild

ok so i have a 2001 edge 2wd, im thinking about doing a straight axle swap, converting it to 4wd and manual transmission, and dropping a 302 in it and stroking the 302. If i decide to do all this i will be starting it in about 3 months when i get home from iraq, im just lookin for opinions and tips or shortcuts from anybody thats done either one of these things

sounds like you have got your work cut out for you... i take it it's an auto right now?

i would say toss a body lift on it also, it will give you more room in the engine bay to fit the motor, and give you a little more height for the 4wd also

yes it is auto, and i threw on a 3 inch body lift right before i left the states. i also intend on jackin it up once i finish the straight axle
