Icon5 RCD Lift Kit

Alright so I'm behind on some news I think. Did they or did they not stop making the coil over kit for the rangers from RCD? and if they did not stop making it how well does it hold up on the trails for anyone who has/had it??

They did stop producing it, some places might still have it in stock though.

The first thing you need to do is replace the coils. If it was mine, I would replace them before even putting it on the truck. They come with 650 lb coils, and you need 700-750. There also has been some issues with the brackets, namely being a little weak. Few people have had brakeage, but it is enough to consider it. In saying that, it is a hell of alot better than the Superlift, just because you replace the torsion bars. Alot more usable ground clearance.

How hard are you on stuff, and what kind of trails?

I trashed the kit i had..

If you can't find an RCD kit you can get the Superlift kit and buy some coil overs, and brackets if you can find them and do a coil-over swap.

ps. i have coil overs for sale

aright now since they stopped selling it do they still warranty the kits that are still out there then?? and i am thinking about putting it on my truck cuz its my daily driver too instead of doing a sas which i dont think would be a good idea on the highway. and for the 700 or 750 coil overs i would have to go elsewhere then RCD to get them right? like fabtech or something? new to all this rcd crap

No all warrenties are void. If you do an SAS properly, youshould have no problems on the highway.

But seriosly seard on all the RCD threads, everything you are asking has been covered about 10 times over.

you know for the price of the kit and what they give you especially for the rear its not worth what they ask for. at least through in new springs not shackles and add a leaf....
