my plan...

so I've just about got my plan together FINALLY!

this week I'm picking up a set of 245/75/16 Goodyear MTRs and rims off a rubicon, that already have had the center bored out of 2 rims for hubs to pass through. After that, i'm picking up a PA 3" body lift kit, replacing my clutch, slave cylinder, and clutch master cylinder. i'm also getting a custom front bumper made (almost like christian's old one) that will have provision to mount a winch, and extending the breathers (finally).

I've already got a Dana 35 I'm eyeing, and trying to find a rear disc 8.8 as well. I'd get both regeared to either 4.10 or 4.56, and am going to put a lock rite in each one. the dana 35 will also get a warn manual hub kit. When I have these ready, I am also going to install a 3" James Duff drop brackets, and radius arm,and do the "floppy jeep spring" setup. In the rear I plan to run a set of explorer leafs (sitting in the garage) with a 2" chevy lift shackle. Going to get a set of custom driveshafts made as well. I would like to run an ARB SS25 snorkel, but will probably just run one that sucks from the cowl. Then, my thinking is to get a set of 33's (the 245's will probably be used up by then),get some rock rails made, and a rear bumper, and then maybe getting a exo-cage to tie then together. As for the winch, i want a milemarker 10,500 lb hydraulic one, as you can never really have too much winch. Then some smaller things like on-board air, maybe a rebuilt 2.9, stereo system, dual batteries, army paint job, stuff like that....

with any luck at all, I should have most of the feasable stuff done by next winter....

any thoughts? :D

i'm hoping so....I need to drive like 60 km's back and forth to school every day, so I need something stout and dependable...that's won't break wheeling since it's my DD too, at least until I figure out what to do with the ranger...

true, but I don't plan on being in a position where the engine will die (wheelin anyway)...a snorkel will take care of one part, and just plain being careful is the other...everyone else I know are the ones messing up engines, hell, last week my buddy managed to tweak a rod in his XJ foolishly trying to pass/race a civic.....

am I the only normal one?

besides, a hydraulic winch doesn't need a cool down period, has more brute strength, and puts no strain on the electrical system....

for what....all the stuff? I know, but alot of it does depend on where I get stuff, the local j/y can get some good stuff not bad (explorer axles) and our one local 4wd store (that is 1 1/2 hours away) I get an 8% discount for being a member of a local jeep club...hehehe
