i just installed a leveling kit on my 98... it raised the front 1.5" and now the back end looks a little off... its definitely lower in the rear. how do you think it would look if i put chevy shackles in the back? Name: ComputerReceipt3041.jpg

On another Ranger site they said to use the shackles off a late 1990's Chevy 1500 Truck they will give you 1.5 inches of lift!

Hey guys... new to here from TRS...
they are talking about lowered shackles (Belltech 6400) from those bowtie truck because they have shackles that mount opposite to ours, so a lowering shackle will lift a ranger... they are like $60. What were you guys talking about when you said you could get them for like $26?? What kind? The belltechs are kinda nice though

If your looking to do any major offroading which would require a large amount of flex, i would go with something thats heavy duty ( using at least 1/4" Steel )....You can run the cheap stuff....if ur just Onroad DD'ing it....but i would look into the thicker shackles to be on the safe side IMO....I know a guy that builds custom shackles for the ZR2 trucks...if you want i can shoot u his email addy and u can get ahold of him....

ha lol i run the cheap stuff and to help strength wwise i just put bolts with nuts on both sides threw the extra holes n it seems to hold up fine but then again in florida you dont really need much flex
