Single dome light to triple one.

I need more light inside at night, especially behind the front seats. I have the single dome light unit and do NOT want to spend $35 to get some brighter LED replacement. I'm wondering if I can use an Explorer or similar three light unit (I would wire all lights to come on as a single unit), but mount it backwards, so the two reading spots would light up the super cab area in the back. Thoughts??? Would it fit flush??? Am I an idiot???

Actually I've got a reg cab so they point to the steering wheel. It should be just plug and play serach through the how to section there should be something on domelights there.
this should help https://www.ranger-forums.com/forum2...t-install.html

You're pretty cheap. I spent 50$ alone on parts to make my dome light.

Can the Mustang, Taurus lights be mounted backwards, so the spots shine in the back?
