snorkel

im thinking about putting a snorkel on my 1999 ranger.. i cant seem to find one that will fit tho. found myself testing my truck in a deeper hole then i thought it was.. does anyone know of any snokels that will fit

Go to home depot and get pvc piping. It works and its cheap.

If I were to do it I would modify an off the shelf unit like the land cruiser one used.

both of those looked a little too "hack and chop" for me.

its all in how much you want to spend i did the cowel one on my old truck for 60$ ant it looked 10x cleaner then the ones in the link an off the shelf will run you at least 4 times what the ones in the links cost

Id rather use an off the shelf unit personally so it doesn't look jerry rigged.

I thought about a snorkel before. I was going to use a K&N Appolo and run the hose into the fender or up toward the firewall:



Also later down the road I'd run the hose to an off the shelf snorkel tube. With this kit I could switch back to an open element as I wish since such a long intake pipe would hurt performance a bit.
