STEERING UPGRADE ON 4/5 KIT
HELLO... MY NAME IS MARC AND I OWN A 99 RANGER XLT EX CAB 3.0
I HAVE A JDM 4/5 A-ARM KIT[ACTUALLY 4.5/5]
2000 MUSTANG V-6 OPTIONAL PREMIUM WHEELS WITH 245/50/16 TIRES
WHICH BOLTED ON WITH NO MODS OUR SPACERS
I WILL BE DOING A STEERING UPGRADE TO ALIVIATE THE ANGLE ON THE TIE RODS FROM THE RACK OUT.
MY PLAN IS TO REMOVE THE TIE ROD FROM THE TOP OF SPINDLE MOUNT AND REPLACE IT UNDER THE SPINDLE MOUNT.
I WILL BE TAKING PICS OF THE FABRICATION FOR ALL TO SEE....
I GOT THESE ROSE JOINTS THAT ARE IMPREGNATED WITH TEFLON AND KEVLAR WITH 14MMX1.5 FEMALE THREAD WITH 14MM HOLE IN JOINT.
I PLAN TO DRILL OUT THE TAPERED HOLE FOR THE FACTORY TIE ROD TO 14MM,THEN PLACE THE ROSE JOINT UNDERNEATH WITH SPACERS AND A GRADE 8 BOLT & LOCK NUT.
I'M USING NEW INNER ROD AND SOCKETS ALSO WITH MAYBE SOME GEXRACKEX1 1" SPACERS AT RACK TO INNER RODS.
I LOOK FORWARD TO SHARING "MY WORK IN PROGRESS" WITH EVERYONE AND HOPE TO GET ALL YOUR OPINIONS ON THE PROJECTS.
