nope! the one i had previously leaked in a corner just a tad, but i didn't get enough sealant in it. when i put this one in (same exact one as the old, but working) i didn't even use the silicone like you can. just used the foam tape that came with the unit. i live in coastal nc and it has been through a few hurricanes.

Just an idea that I had when thinking about a sunroof, couldn't you take an explorer, and cut the metal area around the sunroof, then cut that same metal out of your truck's roof and then weld in the explorer's roof into your truck? Those sunroofs usually dont leak and then when you needed to get parts for it, you would be able to order the stock OEM parts from ford or get em from a junk yard.

Just an idea though. It would probably work better if you had an extended cab too.

I didn't do mine myself, it was in it when I bought the truck but the person before still had the service sticker they put in the truck when they got it done and it was some sunroof place in MN, not sure of the place?

The brand is SFC.

how do you have a manual sunroof? if you are talking about a pop up? i dont see the point unless you are putting a nice big hole in your roof lol that isnt just a crack at the back.

Yeah it's just a pop up and the front and back clips unhook to take it out. I love driving with it out in the summer but i have to have another window open because of the noise.

dude, that looks awesome. It looks like there is enough room for one of those retractable sunroofs on the ex-cabs...

both look good, troy where did you get that one and how much was it? also is it power or manual?
i do like the idea with using a exploder one but that is some fab skills i don't have. i like the look of a sliding one over a pop and remove style. the sliding ragtops are also nice.
