Tires and a body lift to boot
Tires and a body lift to boot
Tire time is coming up soon. And a lot of the new mods I wan to do to the Jeep require a minimum of a 1-inch body lift. I am most likely going to throw the 2 Inch on it and some 32 or 33 inch Baja Claws
I starting with the body lift Followed by the six lift form this company

this isn't a new idea...
the only reason you should be even thinking about a body lift on a jeep is for a tummy-tuck skid, and unless you have a rubicon with the nvg241or t-case, you don't need a body lift to do so.
Get a 6" long-arm with the tummy tuck and leave it be.

James is new to the board, so that's probably why he selected this category.
James, this is for "new ideas" in the sense of things that maybe haven't been tried, or a different way of doing something that's already been done.
Probably this belongs in "General Technical" or some such place. The moderators will decide that and move it if they feel like it.
Yes, bigger tires and a little more ground clearance will do it. You know, you also ought to go check out http://www.delawareja.com and talk about it. That's the Delaware Jeep Association board and I am a forum member over there, but you can't join the group unless you have a jeep.
The nice thing for someone like you would be the classifieds: guys are always changing their jeeps and selling off their old stuff and sometimes that might just be your NEW stuff, only cheaper!
Hang around here and keep Candice and I company for sure, but the Jeep boards would be a good place for you to look for local "deals". At various times I've seen some killer deals on take-off parts over there.
