Toolbox Subwoofer

I've had this crazy idea riding around in the back of my head, looking at the tool box in the bed of the Mazda I inherited. I've always preferred my audio to be hidden.

So am I crazy to think that a toolbox could be converted to a hidden subwoofer enclosure?

thats just flat out stupid a tool box isnt very secure and why the hell would you want to cut the back of your cab just for subs.

you could make a platform in the back and get shallow the subs and put them towards the floor and just make it look like its flat place to put stuff

if your single cab get this

Blow throughs are very common in the show scene. Easy way to put a lot of bass into a small cab.

Maybe to be different?

And if I'm not mistaken, you're not exactly one to be talking about doing stupid stuff to a truck.....such as painting the fender flares without masking off the rest of the truck (or taking them off for that matter).

I'm just saying....don't be a hypocrite.

I think if its done right it would look/work good. But how do they seal the cab to the bed?

Walk throughs are pretty cool, but they're way cooler if you have a cap on it and cut out the whole back wall and window.

They cut the hole and then make a gasket of sorts. Like a rubber seaal that flexes between the bed and cab. I am surprised more people werent aware of this being done. Most do it with a tonneau like the tacoma guy did the first go round. And IMO that tollbox he used didnt really give him much bedspace and looked way too big. I would us af flush box that sits fully in the bed on the bottom and not on the bed rails, IF I did this.
