I was thinking about putting in a Mustang dome light and moving the stock dome to the very back to give more light behind the seats.

thats what i was thinking because i dont have enough light behind the front seats...the only thing is i wonder if it would pull too much current and start blowing fuses left and right

Yeah, I also wonder about the current draw. I'm going to get a cargo light as well, so that will be two cargo light bulbs and two dome lights coming on all at once. And the possibility for two map lights being used as well, so I dunno. I definitely need more light behind the seats...even wondered whether the Mustang dome light could be mounted backwards, so the map lights could add some extra light.

Would be a awesome idea.. I wonder if there is a way to add another one in a single cab. Maybe put a dome light above each seat. Relocate the one in the center to either side and add one to the other side.

LEDs are your friend! you could put s strip behind each seat (say in that slot on the rear wall) or in the dome lights. they have little to no draw so it would be great for not blowin fuses. Not to mention be SUPER bright haha

Yeah, LED's are your friend. They take almost no power and last for a long time with high light output.

LEDs are a bit pricey for me....you can get cargo lights on ebay, junkyard, or check the member's classified section here. The latest and greatest is the '06 and up Super Duty cargo light (it has a cleaner lens look). You can check the "how to" section for details on the cargo light mod.

And LEDs are kinda pricey but they are an awesome light output i go to oznium.com and they seem to have pretty good products

they are not too much either... check this listing out on ebay... 13$ for 2 of them! free shipping... and they are the exact bulb for the dome light of an 03 ranger and you will never replace it again!
