Toolbox

I've been looking for the past few weeks for a good toolbox for my ranger. I found a decent and cheap one at Lowes but the problem is I'm about to get a black set of wheels. This means my ranger will be blacked out but the tool box is made of aluminum and is a grey/silver color. I can't find a black toolbox anywhere and cannot decide if this will kill the look of my truck.

You could alway Paint it black, or get the bed liner stuff.

Just so you get an idea. This isn't my truck but this is what I plan on doing with my wheels, only they will be powdercoated instead of spray painted.

So I will have a billet grille and the center caps will still be chrome. But those are small accents and I don't know if the toolbox will kill the theme to the truck or not. I'm not sure about painting the toolbox cause I really don't trust my painting skills that much.

lol. Well if you use the bedliner stuff they have a roll on kit. You could buy the toolbox put it on and see if you like the chrome. If not they paint it or find someone to help you paint it.

I wouldn't get that box because it blocks half of the rear window and it almost looks like you couldn't put anything six feet long in your bed without it having to hang over the tailgate, then there's the color. I'd keep on looking.

Tractor supply seems to have good prices on truck boxs and the quality seems good also...

the pic is deceiving. I've seen the box in person and it wouldn't block much. Plus I never haul anything.

I have that box from Lowes, and it does not block half of the window maybe a 1/4 of it, and I can still see everything fine, I can see the edge of the tailgate no problem. As far as hauling
things most material comes in 8 ft. length anyway and would hang over the tailgate, I haul
wood alot and if I have 2x4s I just stick one end underneath my tool box because there is
some room under it, and then hang the other end over the tailgate and then secure it down
but yeah some things are a little harder, you just have to improvise a little, overall I love the toolbox. actually I just looked at that pic and it is a slimline model so it would block even less window than mine.

I had that exact box in my Ranger and you can barely see it while driving.
