take them off, i have them in the bed of my truck for almost a year now, i took them off about a month after i got it, i would rather have them in the back of my truck bed then on the side, and if u ever go wheelin, they will get messed up hard!
btw i have them in the back of my truck cuz i dont have a shop:(
if anyone wants them let me know

i havnt messed any up. but i can agree, i was out the other day, the rear wheel was flexed out comin down a trail w/ on one a rock.. and anyways, i opened my door, and the rocks and gravel was about 3-4" from my rocker panel lol... they wouldn't have made it
my vote:ditch em, or leave em until u forcefully lose em haha

I would think that removing them would make the truck look higher, but looking shorter, now you're smoking crack...LOL
I was going to keep mine off, but I'd rather kick the mud/snow off my boots on the step bars then on my rocker panels. The less I scratch the paint, the less chance I have of rust starting......hey, it's a Ford....they rust out quick if you don't take care of them. LOL
