Upper intake swap

Will a aluminum upper intake swap out with a newer plastic one? Will the plastic flow better? Any thought?

Do a search for my thread on this website. I did this mod a couple years ago, improves low-mid torque with a bit more overrev. The EGR will have to be deleted.
